Taj burns, army storms hotel in oberoi, 101 killed in mumbai attacks. These are not some of the headlines you would like to get up watching, on any morning. The gutless terrorists strike again. I have the audacity to call them gutless because i feel these people can inflict terror and pain only on the helpless citizens. Try the same with the Indian army and they are bound to have their worst nightmares coming alive.
What I pity about is that some people from within our cult (the civilians) help these gutless buggers. How did they get into our land?How could they breach the security on the sea front? I completely trust our armed forces and the respect oozes out from every nerve within me, but these questions need to be pondered and delved into. The gap needs to be bridged.
I feel crippled sitting home, at this hour watching all the news channels and doing nothing. I feel crippled that i dont have the nerves within me to join the armed forces, which at one point of time i had given thought to. It may sound very foolish or infact very filmy types, but whilst listening to the news of the terrorists killing top ATS officials i really felt i should have been there and could somehow saved them.
Just spare a few minutes to think about ATS chief Hemant Karkare, additional commissioner Ashok Kamte and encounter specialistVijay Salaskar.They all are just normal human beings like you and me but selfless souls. All have become martyrs just because they wanted us to be in safer hues.On one of the channels they aired a footage of the additional commissioner Mr. Ashok Kamte getting ready with the bulletproof jacket for the mission. Little did he know that this was his last night. Little did his family know that this was the dreaded night when they would never see him again.
Even as i m writing this blog tears roll unknowingly down my eyes (this might sound like a sissy but i cannot help it , may b i am a tad more emotional)i believe thats because i have experienced how it feels when u lose your close one all of a sudden. Their memories huant you. I empathise with the families of these brave ones and salute those selfless beautiful souls!! May their souls rest in peace.
You strike terror, you attack our transport systems, you pen us down.....but every time you do that just keep one thing in mind,WE will strike back, WE will grow stronger, WE will ruin all your ambitions of keeping us in shackles. Just dont test OUR chutzpah because that must be thebiggest mistake you must have thought of, in your mangy little brains. Every time u rise up WE will knock you down and bring you to our feet till you weep and beg for amnesty which would be given only in the form of death. Cannot agree with you more.... only to say that now the so called elite rich of the city have also got the taste of terror... but one thing i would like to add that even as operations are still on i still really wonder if the ones involved in the operation ("apart from the media") get the incentives they should get or is it just a pat on the back that many in this country believe would suffice... worth giving a thought ... what say??

Where the hell was our Intelligence when these bastards were planning their deed. Hijacking a boat from Porbandar fourteen days ago is enough proof that they were in India for quite some time and surely they have mastermind internal links helpin them in the most dastardly mission ever. Although its useless to offer tea to the democrats of our country since they have been enjoying their seista right from their inception as a "Indian Politician" but can they still unite and do something to help those who are suffering. Media doing a great job but as usual they are overdoing it. Media trainers please guide the young guns to ask logical questions. They should learn to think twice before they shoot any questions.
I hope this ambush comes to a standstill soon. Aftermath constitutes our responsibilty to open our eyes and act mature enough to offer empathy to those who suffered instead of discussing the mishap in our homes - safe and sound!
@abhinav:Well said abhinav, the intelligence really needs to come up with answers. It was not tat a single or a couple of terrorists entered. Were they sleeping when the whole battalion was entering Mumbai??? To further add on to your comments, i think we shudnt restrict ourselves only till offering empathy...i guess we can move one step ahead and get ourselves involved in some way or the other.... i dunno how but here is an example...one of my aunts saw a number being flashed out of a person in banglore whose wife was in the taj and had no idea as to how she is or where she is. My aunt called him up and offered him wotever help he needed,whether it was contacting local newspapers or something else . I guess tats just an example of help we can put in!!!
