And then there it was - the final goodbye. I intended to have my part of bidding adieu on my blog not to publicize my blog but to have a tad more freedom in writing about my experience.:)
Sticking to a company as long as 5.6 years automatically tags you with one liners like “ye toh company ka beta hai” or “ye toh yahaka DCS banega”. In my case it went a step further with the junta saying “ye kabhi nahi chod payega....apne bachon ke sath yaha kaam karega”. So on the lighter side; I dedicate this resignation to all those lovely souls who had this amazing confidence in me. :D
Using phrases like "it’s been a long journey" sounds to be clichéd but indeed it has been an extended sojourn. Experiences have been immense. The amazing experiences for most of my career in here have moulded me into one competitive individual in this corporate world while some of the facinorous and totally forgettable experiences in the last 4 or 5 months have just made me stronger! I consider myself lucky to have spent most of the time in a team which was led by a technical genius first and then a managerial genius. I hope I have imbibed the better of both the worlds from these geniuses. :)
The outside work events have been amazing. Been it the team parties or the football tourneys or the badminton tournaments or the table tennis tournaments, I believe I am one bully who has leeched the most out of this company :). Trust me, I am gonna miss the football practice sessions and the tournaments the most, I am gonna miss those luncheons or the evenings snacks with my mates in the pantry area - yes, I am gonna miss my friends.
Life hasn’t been all rosy in here:). As I had mentioned, the final phase was really a tough one, which finally propelled me to kill that complacency within me and look for greener pastures. Personally I believe, it is a must to have an experience wherein you are experiencing the worst of things. It just makes you stronger, thick skinned and raises the bar of your tolerance level. :)
All said, when you are affiliated with a particular place for such a large duration you are bound to have a great amount of emotional attachment with that place. It’s the same with me.
Emotions are high, fear leaving you all
Excitement can’t die, new ventures won't let me stall
With beautiful memories, I walk out of this corporate park
No qualms in the armoury, hope I have left a worthy mark
Its time to do what I need to do
I bid adieu.
